In Spring 2021 me and my colleagues Lucia and Daniela joined efforts to participate in Animiamoci 2021, a contest sponsored by the national television (Rai), aimed at young creatives. We won and were given the chance to Co-Direct our shot movie Blu and work with an amazing team of talents from MAD Entertainment. Here, I have had the chance to take care of multiple aspects of the pipeline, such as Layout, Environment Modelling, prop Rigging, VFX, and Compositing.
Blu is the story of Michele, a10yrs old getting back to school after a year of lockdown. Now is finally time to get away from the screen and meet his classmates. Backpack on, Michele makes his way to school full of insecurities and doubts, what will the other kids be like? Will they be nice to him? Will he make any friends?
As he gets closer to the gate, fears and anxiety will drag Michele into his own nightmares...
